Yes! You CAN Actually Speak With Google By Phone?
I had a problem with a client’s Google My Business listing.
There were two listings. The one that I wanted to keep was listed as the duplicate, while the other one I wanted to get rid of was listed as the primary business location.
I followed through the steps in the various help links to either merge the two listings, or to remove one listing and change the duplicate listing into the primary listing, but no matter what I did it just did not work.
So, I did what most normal people do, and that was to go to Google and Googled the possible solutions.
A number of forums came up in the search results which I trawled to find a solution but none of those really addressed the issue.
The major problem was that the both of the Google MyBusiness listings for the business didn't show up in Google dashboard, despite me being a owner of both listings.
One of those forums had a suggestion that you could contact Google directly (I know right!) and posted the link to Google Support.
I clicked that link through to a form and completed it and clicked the Next button, to be asked if I wished to have a call back within a minute. Of course, I submitted my mobile number and in less than a minute I received an automated call then connected to a real person in less than 5 minutes.
The person I spoke to someone and I was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to identify that there was a technical glitch in my Google MyBusiness Dashboard accounting for both listing not showing.
The issues was passed to the technical support team to fix. He emailed me to confirm the next steps and advised that the technical team would also email when resolved.
This would restore normal access to so that I could complete the actions in the account with the two listings.
I was super impressed
